You may have all the chakras in your body but you need to awaken them first in order to enjoy limitless benefits they bring. Through deep breathing, meditation, visualization and relaxation, you can be sure to have a more untroubled life. Chakra meditation can help you analyze and reflect on things, which can positively change your outlook in life. You can also free yourself from unwanted thoughts and in turn your concentration will improve. In addition to that, it can decrease your everyday stress and enhance your physical strength.

Consider this–if we are all energetic beings of limitless potential, why do we face challenges in so many aspects of our lives? Why do our relationships, finances, career and sex life sometimes go awry?   The answer may be that the Chakra controlling this part of your life is dysfunctional–which means it’s your job to strengthen it.

Many believed that chakra meditation has been the common practice in the East in the earlier years. It is described as the art of harmonizing the seven energy centers that our body hold. These energy centers are called as chakras, which greatly affect us physically, mentally and spiritually. To clear the clouds in your head, here are the seven chakras that can help you achieve peace of mind and experience a relaxing feeling.

Chakras are 7 circular vortexes of energy (or sometimes pictured as flowers with petals) starting from your tail bone, and ending at the crown of your head. They are the focal points of your life force, or prana–and their individual states are vital to your holistic well-being.

Crown Chakra – is found on your head, which is connected to your brain. This chakra usually controls our intellect and perception.

Third Eye Chakra or Brow Chakra – is found between your eyebrows, which administers originality and other closely associated functions.

Throat Chakra – is known as the element of sound. This chakra is in charge for communication and ingenuity.

Heart Chakra – is responsible for your feelings such as compassion and love.

Power Chakra or Solar Plexus – is related to the fire element and responsible for your determination and self-sufficiency.

Sacral or Orange Chakra – is related to the water element. It dictates your desire to be with another person, sexuality and other emotions.

Base or Root Chakra – is responsible for your well-being, success in life and safety.
